    Speech and debate transformed me from an extremely shy child to a confident communicator who went on to become a broadcast news anchor. Now, I work with my small team of incredible coaches to build confidence and communication skills in kids and teens worldwide through our programs.

    I know firsthand how much learning to speak can change a child's life. My hope is that we can help more kids discover that they have a voice — and give them the skills and confidence to use it.

    Find the right fit for your homeschooler

    Flexible, weekly, drop-in friendly

    Homeschool Debate Club

    The Debate Club meets once a week and is designed to be flexible. Learners can start or stop at any time, so there's no need to commit beyond a single class.

    We debate different topics every week, so it's a place for learners to regularly practice speaking, argumentation, listening, and thinking on their feet while becoming more comfortable sharing their ideas.

    Structured 6-week courses, building levels

    Homeschool Debate League

    The League is a little more structured. It runs in 6-week courses, with several levels that build on one another. Your child can take one 6-week course simply to learn the basics of speech and debate, or continue through the levels to develop much more advanced debate skills. There's no commitment beyond six weeks at a time.

    The League also prepares learners to participate in virtual tournaments if they're interested, but competing is never required. For some learners, the goal is simply becoming a stronger, more confident communicator.
